Modern Deals

Modern Deals by Atamayka - Frame Mockcup

“Modern Deals” is so full of symbols.
In 1492, the deadly colonizers came to the Americas and exchanged mirrors for aboriginal pearls and gold. Today, they offer to benefit you by cutting taxes to the powerful 0.1%.

Feathered mutants sneak from behind you, offering to give you light.
I don’t need your lighter, I’m on fire!

A lighter for my fire, NO WAY!

Handsome Mathew

handsome Mathew - Daily Painting by Atamayka

This painting is what I imagine Mathew would look like now. Quite handsome! I didn’t paint him on purpose though, he started with random colors and shapes… I stared and stared at them until I found him.

Unintentional Frida

Unintentional Frida-Daily Painting by Atamayka - Presentation

Did you know Frida, who was told by her doctor to stay in bed because of her illness, went to the opening of her exhibition literally on her bed? She drank, celebrated and had fun… while laying on her bed.
Quote: “Doctor, if you let me drink tequila, I promise not to drink at my funeral”

Love My Beach Vacay… I’m Bored

Daily Painting by Atamayka - Love my Beach Vacay... I'm bored

This pretty little girl was painted on Strathmore watercolor paper with acrylic paint.

In the slider below I also included the first version of her, the first blots of color. It fascinates me to see that this painting can be interpreted in two directions, like those eye-trick images. You might tend to see the skin of her neck and the blue water behind her. But the blue shape could also be her scarf. Her face and the background are one area of color.

This handsome man with a 50’s hairdo and a face of disbelief was made with acrylic paintings and pencil on Strathmore watercolor paper.
It will work as a single piece or as an eye-catcher in your art gallery wall. See images below for details. The last image in the slider shows the initial color shapes in which I found him.
